Room Decoration

    My new room is painted a beautiful blue, but I still have to figure out decoration. My Aunt Says that she will give me my Grandma Peggy's old writing desk. I am planning on painting it white with peach accents. I am then going to make a sunburst mirror, and paint it peach with white sponging. It will all go fantastically with my bedspread.

Sad

    Yeah, it turns out that we still aren't fully moved into our house yet. We are getting the floors refinished this week, and then we should be in. But my Happy post was a very long time ago. And we still aren't finished painting. Oh well.

Cape Cod

       Last week, I went on my family's annual trip to Cape Cod. We stayed at a house on the beach in Falmouth. The water was incredibly warm, and there were two large jetties that you could walk out on. But if you went out past the second jetty, you were in trouble. There was a very strong current.
      I went through about thirty five cans of Fresca and Coke last week, and found a new favorite concoction. Cranberry juice, Fresca, and lime, in a champagne glass with a lime on the rim. It was fantastic.
      Unfortunately, I fell of my bike and got two pussy, gross wounds. I was coming down a hill and ran into a large patch of sand. I saw it too late to get out of it. But I was luck that only a small part of my bike went into the street, and not me. It worries  me that I am having a photo shoot in New York next week and I have humongous cuts. But I think that the photographer can photo shop that out.

New York

I'm going to New York this summer to visit my Auntie PJ. That doesn't sound very special; I do that all the time. But this time, I'm going with just my mom and two friends. I'll be able to do all of the things that I want! And I've never been able to go to New York without my siblings. It's going to be fabulous! I want to see Peter and the Starcatchers on Broadway, as well as go to the Mn'M factory. Yay!

Happy!

We might be able to move into our house THIS WEEKEND! After all of the hard work and time that has gone into the gutting of the second floor and adding on the mudroom, it has really paid off. We are still working on the finishing touches, but everything looks fantastic. We are painting my closet and hopefully some of my walls today. My closet is HUGE! it also has a light which is a plus that I didn't have in my old, cramped closet. I don't know if I'll even need a dresser. I love it!

Shopping Trip

My Nanny came from Connecticut this weekend. She met up with some of her friends and cleaned out the house a bit more. She also took my sister and I shopping. I got a music note heart tee and an owl tee from Delia's, as well as a v-neck from Target. I like all of the shirts because they are loose and good for summer heat when you don't want something sweaty clinging to you. The small spree was a success!

P.S. I got a very fabulous caprese sandwich from Au Bon Pain in the Food Court.

Summer!

School is finally over! I am so excited to be on vacation. I doesn't feel like tomorrow I won't have to go to school. I went to a party at my friend's house today and it was super fun, even in the heat. It was about ninety five degrees out and incredibly humid. I hope it's not like that tomorrow; my sister and I are supposed to go running.

Perfect Week and a Half

It's then end of the school year, and my grade has got about one million parties and events. Here's the list: Monday = Students vs. Faculty Basketball Game; Tuesday = nothing [sad face]; Wednesday = Spring Concert; Thursday = Breakfast with Daily Harvest; Friday = Luau Celebration; Monday = party for Band and Chorus; Tuesday = trip to Boston/My birthday; Wednesday = last day of school. I'm so excited for summer! But at the luau someone spilled their drink and didn't tell anyone so no one cleaned it up; I fell in it and hurt my tailbone. But I'm okay now and I had a great time dancing.

Finally

It was about eighty degrees yesterday! The summery weather has finally arrived. I am very excited because my grade's field trip to Boston is on my birthday. I can only hope that the weather will be nice on that day and I get a good seat on the bus. Sorry about how off-topic that was. Anywho, Happy Memorial Day!

Stop It!

All there ever is outside is rain, rain, rain! I really want it to be sunny and summery. I had M.C.A.S. testing today and we weren't even allowed to get fresh air; recess was inside. It is absurd!

Nature's Taunting Nature

 Nature must have been having a bad day when it blessed us with weather in the eighties and nineties during April Vacation. Either that or it was just not looking ahead. Because now that we are back to forties with rain every day, I am only longing for summer even more. Especially because I cut my favorite pair of jeans into shorts and am dying to wear them. Nature must have forgotten that the clothing stores already punish us with catalogues showing tropical beaches and bathing suits galore. Next year, I hope that Nature does not forget.

April vaccation

It's April vacation [finally]. I am not going anywhere for possibly the first time ever. It's going to be weird, but I'm going to be with my friends a lot. I hope I have fun!

Online Shopping

Why is finding something on the Internet so hard? I have spent DAYS trying to find a pair of mini-wedge espadrilles. I still have not found any and I'm supposed to have them on MONDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Help me!

Alone at last

I went skiing with some friends on Tuesday, and the three youngest girls (that includes me) got to ski alone. It was so fun! And nothing happened to us, so we will be able to do it again! I am so happy.

Renovation

Our renovation is in the progress, and all of the upstairs walls are down! It is sooooo cool. I am really excited to have a new upstairs!

Nerdy

Our school had a theme day where you had to dress  like a word, and I chose nerdy. I wore orange, blue, and white argyle knee-highs, tucked into blue Converse sneakers. I had on a black skirt with white leggings. For a shirt, I wore a blue tank top that matched my socks, and a white cardigan. To top it all off, I wore big glasses and retainers. It was really fun to be dressed up with all of my friends!

So Sad!!!

I read "Bridge to Terabithia" for school and it was so so so so so so so so so so so so so so SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!! I cried a ton, even though I was in school. Then we saw the movie, and it was sad too. I was crying even before Leslie died! Whhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!

Vermont's Sun Moutain, Bromley

Only one more day until I get to go on the annual ski trip!! We go  to Bromley every year with the same people, staying at the same house. I know the mountain like the back of my hand and am WICKED excited. Maybe I'll make a documentary... if I do, I will put a link to it on the blog.

Soreness

I was running yesterday with my dad, and I was going really fast. Now my quads hurt really badly! :( I do not like it.

Snow?

Where is all the snow?!? I mean, it's January and yesterday the temperature was something like 58 degrees. Are you kidding me? It should be 5 degrees with 3  feet of snow on the lawn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our grass is still green. I will not stand for this injustice!

Shades!

In my room, I don't have shades or curtains. There are only half-windows, but there is a lot of light in the morning. I get woken up when I really NEED sleep! Then I get grumpy and have a bad day. I really want window coverings!
